In a field of four, Freddy came in fifth. That's the final vote from the Park River Independent Democrats who hosted a mayoral forum yesterday with the Ansonia Independent Democrats on Manhattan's West Side. Virginia, Gifford and Anthony each got 13 votes, Freddy got 6 and 8 members voted not to endorse anyone. The fifth place finish can't be blamed on Freddy's remarks about the Diallo shooting, which seemed to follow him nearly everywhere. Virginia, Gifford and Anthony didn't mention it and neither did anyone in the audience during the Q&A. In fact, the only only people who did bring it up were Freddy's folks, who handed out a Daily News article about how consistent he'd been on the subject.  read more »
