It is you, Anonymous, that does not get it. Electricity can be stored. And, there are lots of ways to generate electric power. The problem with the "never replace oil" or "never replace nuclear power" argument, is that you want one solution to fix things.

Many solutions will evolve, they will all work together to meet our energy needs. I believe that electricity will probably emerge as the common denominator, as opposed to hydrogen or compressed air.

It will be complicated. But, as the saying goes “Performance comes out of complexity.”
