John Mayer: 'I Fell Asleep With the Gay Network Logo On'
It looks like John Mayer had a good time last night at Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter’s Waverly Inn. As the 30-year-old crooner was leaving the exclusive West Village eatery, apparently alone, a TMZ videographer rolled as Mr. Mayer sounded off.
In the midst of his rant, he accuses TMZ.com managing editor Harvey Levin of abusing the freedom of information act by subpeoning Mr. Mayer's thoughts—specifically the ones he had on September 14, 2007.
“The reason I’m so worried about this night is that I had a little bit too much to drink that night and I fell asleep with the gay network Logo on,” he told them with a straight face, pausing to look at the ground for a few moments. “A lot of dreams were had that night and if they ever get out, they represent a very small fraction of my day.”
Yeah, that's what they all say. "I had too much to drink last night with my straight buds; grabbing whatever and doing whatever." We know!
A very small fraction? Ain't that the truth. It's about time, too, a little truth was told.
Let's see, most TV cable companies have tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens, and tens of TV channels. The gay network Logo is just one channel on a long list of channels.
The statistical odds of watching this gay network are quite small. A small fraction!!!!!
This dude could have been watching ESPN. Nope! This dude could have been watching ABC. Nope! This dude could have been watching NBC. Nope! This dude could have been watching PBS. Nope! This dude could have been watching CBS. Nope! This dude could have watching Pat Robertson. Nope! This dude could have watching MTV. Nope! This dude could have been watching a multitude of other TV channels, but this dude had been watching this gay channel.
So many TV cable channels, so little time. Yeah! We know!
The statistical odds of having the TV networks mentioned in my post, with acronyms, lining up diagonally like they did is rather small. I was a little surprised.
It is kind of queer.
It's only a joke...Mayer has a very dry and witty sense of humor. He has made "gay" jokes before...all in some type of self-deprecating humor. He didn't REALLY fall asleep with the gay channel on, just like Harvey Levin didn't REALLY subpoena his thoughts!! It's a joke!
Tis the season to not take everything so seriously.
John Mayer always makes jokes like that.
I am so tired of being PC that its about time we all lighten up a little - when my Mall Santa cannot say Ho,Ho,Ho lest he offend someone - me thinks its gone a tad too far.

Every gay man spends hours at the gym each week, and I don't want the general public to think gay men have fat guts. I can't think of one friend that has more than 7% body fat. Well, I guess I can think of one gay friend that has 10% body fat, but he hasn't had a date in a couple of years.
